Buckland St. at Tolland Turnpike

Project Description: Replace traffic signal and remove channelizing islands at the intersection of Buckland St./Adams St. and Tolland Turnpike. Project was one of two in Capitol region chosen for funding under a safety improvement grant funded through the Department of Transportation.   This intersection had 109 crashes with 29 injuries in the 2 1/2-year reporting period of January 2015 to May 2017.
Funding Source: Local Accident Reduction Program (90% State; 10% Town)
Construction Cost: $ 1,050,000.00 (Estimated)
